Lives and works in Tel Aviv
Yam graduated with honors in 2005 from the B.Ed. program at the Midrasha College of Arts (Beit Berl), where she majored in photography. In 2008 she graduated with honors from M.F.A. program at the Bezalel Academy for Art and Design, Tel Aviv. Yam was awarded Legacy Heritage Fund Prize, Tel Aviv Museum of Art in 2007. In 2009 she was awarded the Artist-Teacher Award from the Ministry of Culture and Sport (Israel), for her work at Avni Institute of Art, Tel Aviv. In 2010 Yam was awarded the Young Artist Award from the Ministry of Culture and Sport (Israel).
She has had solo shows at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion, Tel Aviv; the Midrasha Gallery, Tel Aviv; Braverman Gallery, Tel Aviv, Asdod Museum, Lexus Gallery, Tel Aviv, Shenkar Gallery, Ramat Gan, an more, and has participated in group exhibitions both in Israel and worldwide. In May 2010 she has been invited to participate in an artist-in-residence workshop in Bielefeld, Germany and was invited to stay in La Cite des Arts in Paris in 2011. In 2019, Yam had an extensive solo exhibition at the Ashdod Art Museum.
