Robin Rhode has been nominated for the Prix Pictet 2019

The prestigious prize aims to harness the power of photography to draw global attention to issues of sustainability, especially those concerning the environment. On the occasion of his nomination, Rhode has stated that his photographic work conveys his attempt to present a mystic search for wholeness in the very midst of its impossibility. The theme for this year’s prize is ‘Hope’.

The winner will be announced on November 14, 2019, and works from the twelve shortlisted artists will be exhibited in the Porter Gallery at the Victoria and Albert Msueum in London.
