The Curfew Tower has been active as a residency program for many years and has an established and strong track record within the contemporary art scene in the UK and Ireland. There are few arts venues located in ‘rural regions’ that have this important national status; The Tower brings art from the capitals to the local.

‘Nothing But Longing’ will bring together the accumulation of the overall experiences of the artists residing in the Tower during 2015-16. The exhibition will be composed of new works by emerging and established artists, who were were committed to the Tower’s confined living conditions, staying alone for a one month period.

The works presented in the show will create a multi layered scope combining site specific installations,  commissioned works, archival footages, performances and more.
