On Tuesday, April 5, at 12pm (EST) / 7pm (Israel time) artist Ruth Patir will be in conversation with curator Maayan Sheleff for “There Are Worse Things I Could Do”, a virtual dialogue conceived within Artis contemporary Public Program.
Patir and Sheleff will talk about Patir’s recent solo exhibition “M/otherland” (2021), held at OnCurating Project Space in Zurich, Switzerland, and they will reflect on topics explored in the related publication which is presented as both an artist book and stand alone artwork.
Exploring the publication’s topics, from gender issues to women rights in our contemporary and technocentric society, the speakers will reflect on the nuanced and poetic relationship between an artist and curator as co-thinkers in the art-making process.
