Ronit Baranga is participating in Esprits libres – Céramique affranchie, in which twelve international artists tell stories that defy convention, encourages us to take a fresh look and examine our humanist values through contemporary ceramics. This year’s guest Curator is Anne Richard, founder of the art magazine HEY! modern art & pop culture.
What is “good” and “bad” taste? Does the search for profit characterize contemporary art? Does the market condition the artists’ inspiration? Does democratization lead to standardization? The new exhibition of the Fondation Bernardaud, Esprits libres – Céramique affranchie, answers these questions by deconstructing aesthetic standards and clichés. It gives us a second wind, a burst of spontaneity and unity, and tells a different story, embodied by the choice of twelve artists who defy convention and encourage us to take a fresh look at surprising artistic expressions, in line with what has been defending for over twelve years the art magazine HEY! modern art & pop culture, founded by Anne Richard, Curator of the exhibition.
