As part of a group exhibition Power Seen and Unseen at the Hacienda La Trinidad Parque Cultural, Caracas, Nira Pereg will exhibit 67 Bows (2007) which examines the communal reaction of a large group of flamingos to the sound of gun shots, which lives as a colony nearby an artificial lake at the Karslsruhe Zoo. The flamingos respond to the sound as “one body”. The gun shot then functions as the key note in choreographing this scene, moving it from heaven to hell in different intensities.
Power Seen and Unseen was curated by Kelly Gordon and hosted by Backroom Caracas.
