TRAFO Center for Contemporary Art is pleased to announce the presentation of the catalogue ‘Four Works’, published on the occasion of the solo exhibition of the Israeli video artist Gilad Ratman in TRAFO in spring 2015. The event will be held on the opening day of the Warsaw Gallery Weekend at Propaganda Gallery. The publication will be presented by the artist and TRAFO’s director Mikołaj Sekutowicz.
’Four Works’ was the first large-scale solo exhibition by Gilad Ratman in Europe. He established himself as one of the leading international video artists with ’The Workshop’, his acclaimed 5-channel video installation shown at the Israeli national pavilion in the 2013 Venice Biennale.
The catalogue is a comprehensive documentation of four video installations showcased across the four floors of TRAFO in Szczecin: ‘The 588 Project’ (2009), ‘Multipillory’ (2010), ‘Five Bands from Romania’ (2011/2015) and ‘Swarm’ (2015). In addition to documentation of the exhibition, it features essays by Michał Libera, Martha Kirszenbaum, Liam Gillick and exhibition curator Sergio Edelsztein. The catalogue is published jointly by TRAFO Center for Contemporary Art in Szczecin and Baltic Contemporary sp. z o.o.
