Ari Benjamin Meyers works at the intersection of music, theatre, performance and live installation, aiming to exploit each genre’s particular register and make new connections between their different mechanisms of action.

Forecast was supposed to celebrate its premiere in April 2020 and was postponed to the 2020/21 season because of the first closures due to the pandemic last spring. Because the theatre has been closed again since November and the pandemic virus also eludes predictability, a date for the premiere remains in limbo as well.

Together with the Forecast ensemble, Meyers recorded an excerpt of the performance as a concert-style session in May 2020, which was then shown on Volksbühne digital. In April 2021, the ensemble came together once again and produced more Forecast Films, which present parts of the performance and will be available to view on Volksbühne digital from May 25th, 2021.
