Dor Zlekha Levy new work “One Tongue” to be launched at Beit Guvrin-Maresha National Park

May 11 – November 11, 2023

The new work “One Tongue” by Dor Zlekha Levy is a site-specific audiovisual installation created for the Bell Caves at Beit Guvrin National Park.

The work centers around a musical piece written by the artist in an ancient Semitic language and
performed by a choir. The choral singing will be played on sound systems adapted to the unique acoustics of the site, considered an ancient architectural wonder. The musical piece is accompanied by video projections that merge with the exceptional texture of the caves’ rock walls. All these create an immersive and captivating experience that oscillates between an ancient past and a fictional future.

The launch event is held on May 10, at 6.30 pm
