Bracha Ettinger, lecture, ‘TIME AND SENSES. Trauma, Memory, Oblivion, Knowledge’ at NCCA, Moscow

Bracha L. Ettinger participates with a three video installation in THE HUMAN CONDITION – SESSION III, curated by the artistic director of the project Viktor Misiano. The project is a collaboration between three leading museums of contemporary art in Moscow (the National Center for Contemporary Art (NCCA), the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA) and the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center) to collaborate on the exhibition and conference. Opening: 30 November at 7.00pm at Ekaterina Cultural Foundation, Moscow. Exhibition 1 December 2017 – 28 January 2018.

The show includes a number of International and Russian artists, among them Fernando Sánchez Castillo (Spain), Bracha L. Ettinger (Israel / France), Joana Hadjithomas & Khalil Joreige (Lebanon / France), William Kentridge (South Africa), Katrīna Neiburga (Latvia), Adrian Paci (Albania / Italy), Claudio Parmiggiani (Italy), Leonid Tishkov (Russia).

The show is accompanied by a Symposium TIME AND SENSES. Trauma, Memory, Oblivion, Knowledge, 1-2 December 2017 at the NCCA. A panel with Bracha L. Ettinger, Victor Mazin and Olesya Tourkina takes place on the 2 December (12.00-14.30pm).

Bracha’s installation UNDERWATER: EURYDICE – PIETA includes: (a) Ein-Raham – Crazy Woman (16:06 in loop, 2014 [2012]); (b) MaMemento Fluidus – MaMedusa (25:53 min. in loop, 2014 [2012]) and (c) Ein-Raham – Eurydice (19:57 min. in loop, 2014 [2012]).
