Artist Duo Merav Kamel and Halil Balabin from Israel and Jody Korbach from Germany are both former participants of the exchange programme between NRW and Tel Aviv (former Bronner Residency, sponsored by Kulturstiftung NRW, Goethe Institute and the Cary and Dan Georg Bronner Foundation). Invited by Alte Tankstelle Deutz to commemorate and foster the dialoge between the two areas in their exhibition “A Horse Walks into a Bar” the artists combine their shared playful asthetics with underlying questions of societal commotion.
