Damien Ding’s work is presented in the group show “Write Your Own Script” curated by Annette Hur at Backyard Ghost Projects in Brooklyn, NY, together with artists: Cary Hulbert; Kaveri Raina; David Humphrey; Kate Liebman; Isaac Soh Fujita Howell; Jin Jeong; Stipan Tádic.

“As we grow older and find ourselves in a situation that falls short of our ideal vision of a great life, we start editing and seeking a new version of life that we live in and can have some control over. The process often includes self-reflection and personal desires, and it continuously develops new narratives. This exhibition brings artists together who particularly deal with ‘open narratives’ in which artists’ formal decisions are invented to deep dive into that process of rewriting their own conflicts in life”.
