Braverman Gallery is pleased to propose an exhibition that presents the works of five artists from different generations side by side; Bracha L. Ettinger, Nancy Haynes, Reuven Israel, Ari Benjamin Meyers and Robin Rhode. Differing primarily in their choice of media, the artists’ works channel parallel sensitivities regarding the rhythm of their art practice, and are comparable as well in their individual attempts to organize the ideas they are concerned with in a coherent visual state. The four are joined together by their unique inclination and ability to create works that introduce and allow for a new perspective of the employed medium. The artists succeed at drawing the viewer’s attention to the final, tangible work of art, while conceptually, it is almost as if whispered beneath the surface of their works is the distinctive poetic sense from which each of the works stem. Though distinguished from one another, their process is characterized by an action that is not rooted in tradition or language, and a constant tendency to examine new channels and broadly explore color, form, and sound. The exhibiting artists all tune in to a certain frequency that, whether musical or spiritual, is conveyed in their compelling work.
