Russell Tovey talks to Wallpaper* about emerging artists, queer art, his hopes for the Talk Art franchise, and his ongoing collaborations with artist Navot Miller.
“Captivating, exuberant and proudly queer, Miller’s output seems to embody the kind of art Tovey is fondest of. As Tovey writes evocatively in the exhibition introduction, ‘it’s as if David Hockney and Patrick Caulfield met and birthed [Miller] on the dance floor of a sweaty nightclub in Berlin (where the artist lives and works); midwifed into a second term by Ken Price and reaching full term – pulled into the world giggling, spinning, sparkling and twinkling through the efforts of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol’”.
