Braverman Gallery is proud to be representing Oren Eliav at Art Brussels 2018.

Oren Eliav’s practice involves a complex relationship with other works of art. This time it’s Velasquez’s “The Spinners”, which is composed as a stage within a stage or a story within a story, depicting three women weaving a carpet. Eliav’s unique ensemble in Art Brussels will comprise three illusionistically rendered works oscillating between painting and tapestry, adding a further dimension to the already perplexing work by the Spanish master.
