Yonatan Ron

Bio

Yonatan Ron (b. Jerusalem, Israel 1988) is a painter and printmaker. He works and lives in Jerusalem. Ron holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design and winner of the Young Artist Award from the Hecht Museum, Haifa. In recent years, since graduating, he has been a member of the artists’ community of The New Gallery in Teddy, Jerusalem, where he received a subsidized studio grant and founded the print workshops. In 2019, he received a young artist’s scholarship from the Jerusalem Municipality in cooperation with the print workshop run by Irena Gordon. Solo exhibitions include the Jerusalem Artists’ House, Barbur Gallery, a double exhibition at The New Gallery at Teddy Stadium and an artist residence in Berlin at Martin Mertens Gallery. Awards include the Struck Prize for Excellence in Printmaking,the Presser Prize for Excellence in Painting, a young artist scholarship at the Jerusalem Print Workshop and a studio grant at the Teddy Artists Workshops.
