Uri Kloss (b. 1993, Israel) lives and works in Kibbutz Hasolelim and Tel Aviv.
His paintings deal with the idea of the relationship between a pattern and a segment of it. He is interested in the tension between the infinity of a pattern and the fact that it’s been cut and framed. This motive is tested in his shutters paintings, which deal with the question of a spatial continuum that embodies diverse points of view.
Kloss’s work has been exhibited at venues such as Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen, Museum Sztuki MS2 in Lodz, the International Photography Festival in Tel Aviv, and the Agam Museum of Art. Additional exhibitions include the Contemporary Art Gallery at Tivon, Beit Hankin Gallery and Oranim gallery. Among Kloss’s numerous accolades are the Excellence Award from Bezalel Academy of Art & Design in 2023 and the Young Artist Award from Hecht Museum in Haifa in 2011.
