Tamar Peysahov (b. 1997) works with painting, drawing, print and video. Her works combine a figurative and realistic surrealism.
Her research investigates different themes such as femininity, touch, vulnerability and feelings. The body appears in various parts, sometimes as a jug representing the female body, and sometimes as parts of the organs of mannequins, representing the broken, “perfect” body that is now missing, vulnerable and fragile. The repetition of the same figure in different forms recalls the fast change of human feelings and emotions.
Peysahov lives and works in Ashdod, Israel. She received her BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in 2021.
