Haim Levac (B. 1994, Jerusalem. Lives and works in Leiptzig) is a figurative painter whose work is inspired by everyday life and explores themes such as vulnerability, intimacy, and manhood. He infuses his paintings with humor and absurdity, creating a unique and playful approach to figurative art. Through his work, Haim challenges societal expectations, inviting the viewer to question their own assumptions and beliefs and encouraging a deeper exploration of the complexities of human experience.
Levac completed his studys at the Basis school for art and culture in Herzliya Israel 2019, under artist’s such as Jaacob Dorchin, Yair Grabuz and Jacob Mishori. His work has been exhibited in independent galleries throughout Europe and Israel, such as Alte Handelsschule, Leipzig, Germany (2022), Pilotenkueche, Leipzig, Germany (2022), Halal Bastudio, Tel Aviv (2021), Neuer Ordner Gallery, Wien, Austria(2021), Studio Bank, Tel aviv, Israel (2020). Levac has participated in residencies at International Artist Residency, Pilotenkueche Program, round 52, Leipzig, Germany (2022), Long term resident at Studio Bank Project, Tel Aviv (2020-2021), and the International Artist Residency, Cyprus College of Art Residency, Paphos, Cyprus (2016). His works are included in the Norman Röhlig & Dr. Oliver Emil Mauthe collection, and in private collections in Israel and Europe.
