Ce Jian (b. 1984, China. Lives and works in Berlin) employs a unique feminine approach that blends early modern abstraction with contemporary digital imagery, effectively redefining a futuristic approach to the 21st century. In the midst of growing concerns over the potential threats posed by artificial intelligence, Jian’s paintings serve as a welcome refuge, showcasing a world populated by fantastic and delicate creatures that offer us a glimpse of a bright and compassionate future in the face of our rapidly changing reality.
