Jenny Aglits (b. 1985 in Ukraine) lives and works in Tel Aviv.
In her paintings, Aglits is interested in creating an image where destruction and construction live together. From the war and breakdown sites, from damage and loss, she is creating the process of reverse archeology. Instead of excavating the ruins, Aglits builds them up, creating new world with a multi-layer technique of color surfaces, demarcation and subtraction.
She received her BFA in Multidisciplinary Art from Shenkar College in 2017. She has presented her work in several group exhibitions, and she received a scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation for Plastic Arts and won the Margaret and Sylvan Adams Award for Young Artist.
