Raem Rafi Mesilati (b. 1993) lives and works in Tel Aviv. Mesilati investigates the boundaries between figurative and abstract, and the space between them. Mesilati’s paintings are characterized by a wide range of colors, techniques, brushstrokes and different levels of accuracy and tolerance. The images represented are painted on a meticulously realistic level and yet are portrayed so that they are not recognizable.
In 2021 he received his BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, where he studied sculpture, painting, printmaking and editing.
