The performance installation The Honey Project deals with language, culture and religion.
The two artists Nezaket Ekici (Turkish/German) and Shahar Marcus (Israel) integrate the cultures and languages of the world. It is not intended to create a „colourful sound“ of many cultures. The work should go one step further: It is about internalizing the cultures and languages of the world in order to think ahead the peace that people achieve when they understand each other.
Ekici and Shahar found in Berlin 13 migrants from cultures, representing linguistic regions on earth Performers are: turkish, german, hebrew chinese, spanish, english, arabic, portuguese, russian, japanese, italien, french and korean.
Honey scripts that are physically, are inspired by the olt testament and jewish religion. Thus, the letters that stand for the Bible are to pass directly into the body. On the tongue, the Bible appears sweet as honey.
The performance anticipates an utopia world in which there are no longer any differences between the cultures and languages and religions.
