In Between Everything that Is

Braverman Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Amit Belowitz‘s solo exhibition in between everything that is.

Berlowitz, with a small camera and some film, clicks her finger outside this world and outside of time. In the x-territory that is reserved for those free of desire. There, in that non-place, she can place in front of her young women and gaze at them until they become mirrors.

Berlowitz photographs a different place. It is a place dipped in winter hues, one that is neither tidy nor organized, its edges always frayed, but somehow, mysteriously, it offers sanctuary. Berlowitz’s place is a fleeting thought, a fantasy. The material exists only to give the dream more clarity.
