The new show by Oren Eliav, winner of the 2010 Rappaport Prize for young Israeli Artist, will comprise of 14 new paintings exhibited for the first time. It follows “They’ll never wake us in time”, shown last summer at Braverman Gallery.

As the exhibition title “Two Thousand and Eleven” suggests, questions regarding the nature of time are still a principal concern: whether through a confusing and disorienting historical sense, or via an imaginary duration of sound surrounding the works, especially in the group of portraits titled “Listeners” .
